Visit to Ayutthaya Historical City & Cruise to Bangkok
I had a visit to Bangkok (Thailand) last weekend and took the opportunity to have 1 day tour visit to Ayutthaya Historial City. Ayutthaya was once the old capital city of ancient Siam (Thailand) that was fallen after the defeat by Burmese army in 1767, the ruins and remaining of the old city is now a historical park and is recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site. More info here. The 1 day trip only costs about Usd40 and the package includes half day bus tour to few famous temples and cruise through Chao Phraya river to Bangkok city with lunch and tea included.
Here are the random pick of some pictures taken.
Wat Maha That
Wat Pra Si Sanphet & Royal Palace
Wat Chai Watthanaram
If you noticed, the architecture of this temple is very similar to Cambodia’s Angkor Wat. This temple was built as memorial to war victory over Angkor Wat.
Grand Pearl Cruise To Bangkok
Along the 3 hours cruise in Chao Phraya river, we were served with Thai buffet and coffee break. The view along the river was spectacular as we passed through many landmarks, villages and temples together with wonderful weather.
